Guardian 00101 Beamer 2000 Fits 3.5 to 14-Inch Beams up to 1.25-Inches Thick, Top or Bottom

The Guardian Fall Protection Beamer 2000 is a versatile Fall Arrest anchor designed for use both overhead and at foot level. Attachable to both steel I and H beams, the Beamer 2000 offers nylon bushings to provide smooth movement along the beam, that also function as impact indicators in the event of a fall. This extremely durable anchor also includes a precision machined aluminum bar and ratcheting end pieces, which allow for quick and easy adjustment with just one hand.

Installation:

  • Hook Fixed Clamp over selected beam flange. Aluminum Bar MUST be positioned parallel with end of beam.
  • Compress lever on Adjustable Clamp and position Adjustable Clamp as tightly as possible against opposite side of beam flange.
  • Beamer Anchor MUST be snug against beam flange and no possibility may exist for Beamer Anchor to detach from beam flange.
  • Release Adjustable Clamp lever and ensure it is fully locked onto High Strength Bar.

Personal Fall Arrest

  • Beamer 2000 may be used to support a maximum 1 personal fall arrest system for use in Fall Arrest applications.
  • Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 5,000 lb. Maximum free fall is 6ft., or up to 12ft. if used in combination with equipment explicitly intended for such use.
  • Applicable D-ring: Dorsal.

Restraint

  • Beamer 2000 may be used in Restraint applications to prevent workers from reaching the leading edge of a fall hazard.
  • Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 1,000 lbs. No free fall is permitted. Restraint systems may only be used on surfaces with slopes up to 4/12 (vertical/horizontal).
  • Applicable D-rings: Dorsal, Chest, Side, Shoulder.

Rescue/Confined Spaces

  • Beamer 2000 may be used in Rescue/Confined Space applications to safely recover a worker from a confined location or after exposed to a fall.
  • Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 3,000 lbs. No free fall is permitted.
  • Applicable D-rings: Dorsal, Chest, Shoulder.

Worker Classification

  • A person with an accredited degree or certification, and with extensive experience or sufficient professional standing in planning and reviewing the conformity of fall protection and rescue systems.
  • A highly trained and experienced person who is assigned by the employer to be responsible for all elements of a fall safety program.
  • A person who is assigned by their employer to work around or be subject to potential or existing fall hazards.
