PRODUCT CARE:

  • DO NOT use chlorine bleach or detergents containing bleach. DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide. DO NOT use fabric softeners or starch.
  • Dry Cleanable. Machine wash warm (Max. 165ºF / 74ºC) Detergent only.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain performance when garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of garment.

NFPA 70E PPE Requirements

The ArcGuard Compliance 40 Cal Arc Flash Hood with Hard Hat is compliant to NFPA 70E for Arc Flash meeting PPE CAT 4 arc flash head protection. The 40 cal/cm2 APTV (arc thermal performance value) is the minimum arc rating that is compliant with CAT Level 4. Table 130.7 (C) (16) of NFPA 70E directs employers to supply PPE with an arc rating of 40 cal/cm2 for all arc hazards in PPE Cat 4.

This 40 Cal Arc Flash Hood includes a hard hat and hood with an anti-fog, scratch resistant face shield for complete arc flash head protection that is comfortable and also supports high-quality visibility to enhance worker safety.

NFPA 70E also requires arc flash hoods to be compliant with ASTM F2178 testing for Arc Flash Hoods, which the 40 Cal Arc Flash Hood meets.
