Self Retracting Lifelines - SRL
Self-retracting lifelines (SRL) are a key aspect of fall arrest kits when there is limited clearance to stop a worker's fall. These heavyweight devices automatically lock and decelerate an employee in the event of a free fall. SRLs are formulated to allow for normal movement, but engage rapidly when a fall is detected. This makes SRLs the industry standard when it comes to fall protection, as they require the absolute minimum distance to arrest a fall.
